Three BPA employees were among a select few across the Department of Energy that Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm recognized recently at the Secretary's Honor Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The awards are among the highest internal awards the Department of Energy offers, honoring outstanding leadership in public service that benefits both DOE's mission and the nation.

The awardees from BPA are:

  • Ann McManamon, Hydrologist, Weather and Streamflow Forecasting
  • Bart McManus, Electrical Engineer, Operations Control
  • Aaron Siemers, Physical Scientist (Environmental), Technical and Regional Services

“BPA has a strong tradition of recognizing our own and making sure that everyone throughout the country knows about the incredibly important work taking place in the Pacific Northwest," said Dan James, Chief Workforce and Strategy Officer. “Ann, Bart, and Aaron are each stellar examples of the innovations that BPA brings to the table and the service we provide not only to the region but the nation as well."
