BPA launches new Customer Portal website, including the new Meter Data Management Reporting interface. Customers can now access the new site.

The new Customer Portal went live this weekend. With this launch, the Agency Enterprise Portal (AEP) project is now complete. AEP is one of BPA’s 35 grid modernization projects designed to increase automation, improve accuracy and enhance visibility of the region’s power and transmission systems. This project’s aim is to modernize BPA’s online public and customer experience by delivering a supportable and flexible digital platform. It will host BPA-produced content, provide secure access to customer-specific information, and allow customer-BPA information exchanges to administer BPA products and services for both Power and Transmission Services.

The new Customer Portal can be accessed through BPA’s website at www.BPA.gov/customerportal. Please note: Customers will be prompted to change their passwords on Tues., April 12.   If you cannot recall your password for Customer Portal, please click on “Forgot my password” and walk through the steps in generating a new password.  Regardless if you “forgot your password” on Monday, April 11, all users will be required to change their passwords on April 12.  Passwords will need to be at least 20 characters in length as well as contain at least one of each of these four sections: upper case, lower case, numeric value, and symbol.

The legacy Customer Portal will remain accessible for existing users until it is retired sometime later in 2022. However, no new users, changes or refreshed data will be supported in the legacy site.

For Energy Efficiency users
Energy Efficiency users will continue to submit their invoices for payment via the legacy Customer Portal until the BPA Energy Efficiency Tracking System (BEETS) goes live later in 2022. Energy Efficiency users will see an Energy Efficiency page on the new Customer Portal that will link to the legacy site. Use your existing login and password information to access legacy Customer Portal. Once BEETS goes live, the link to the legacy site will be replaced with a link to the new system. Energy Efficiency users will then use BEETS to report their EE activity for payment.

For Nomogram users
Nomogram users will continue to access Nomogram data via the legacy Customer Portal until they go live under the Outage Management System later in 2022. Nomogram users will see a Nomogram page on the new Customer Portal that will link to the legacy site. Use your existing login and password information to access the legacy site. Once the nomogram functionality goes live under the Outage Management System, the nomogram data will appear in Customer Portal.

Metering Reports
Automated metering reports will be “turned off” on Monday, 4/11 in the afternoon.  Users that had automated reports will need to recreate them in Customer Portal.  Please refer back to Malerie Ray’s email on 4/5/2022 for further instructions on how to setup these scheduled reports.

Training sessions for the new Customer Portal system (Customer Portal and MDMR2) were held in Feb, but look for more information coming soon for a Q&A session to be held in May. This session is timed so Customer Portal users will have had at least a month working in the new system and can come prepared with any questions about the new system, functionality or any issues users may be having.  You will also find event details for this session on the BPA.gov event calendar when it is announced.

If any user has questions or issues accessing BPA.gov or new Customer Portal, please use the contact information below.
