BPA is preparing to launch the new Customer Portal website, including the new Meter Data Management Reporting interface, the weekend of April 8-10 starting at 6 p.m. Customers will be able to access the new site on Monday, April 11

The new Customer Portal is part of the Agency Enterprise Portal project, one of several grid modernization projects that support the implementation of BPA’s strategic goals to modernize federal power and transmission system operations and supporting technology, and to provide competitive power and transmission products and services.

The project was delayed in February due to unforeseen changes made by the vendor which affected the handling of large data files. This issue has now been tested and resolved to enable the launch of the new site.

For many customers, the face of BPA is the Customer Portal, accessible through BPA’s website at www.bpa.gov. Through this upgraded site, BPA is bringing customers a more robust and secure system that positions the agency to deliver advanced functionality in the future.

Training sessions for the new Customer Portal system were held in February, but look for an additional Q&A session to be held in May. This session is timed so Customer Portal users will have had at least a month working in the new system and can come prepared with any questions about the new system, functionality or any issues users may be having. You will find event details for this session on the BPA.gov event calendar when it is announced.

A read-only version of the legacy Customer Portal will remain accessible for existing users until it is retired sometime later this year. However, no new users, changes or refreshed data will be supported in the legacy site.

For Energy Efficiency users
Energy Efficiency users will continue to submit their invoices for payment via the legacy Customer Portal until the BPA Energy Efficiency Tracking System goes live later in 2022. EE users will see an EE page on the new Customer Portal that will link to the legacy site. Legacy CP is a separate login/password, so use your existing legacy login and password information to access the legacy Customer Portal. Once BEETS goes live, the link to the legacy site will be replaced with a link to the new system. EE users will then use BEETS to report their EE activity for reimbursement.

For Nomograms users
Nomograms users will continue to access Nomogram data via the legacy Customer Portal until the Outage Management System goes live later in 2022. Nomogram users will see a Nomogram page on the new Customer Portal that will link to the legacy site. Legacy CP is a separate login/password, so use your existing legacy login and password information to access the legacy Customer Portal. Once the Outage Management System goes live, the link to legacy Customer Portal will be replaced with a link to the Outage Management System.
