Ruralite features BPA's Pollinator Workgroup in an article highlighting how the team’s efforts is driving BPA’s commitment to pollinators. 

Bees, butterflies and other pollinators have found new and improved homes throughout the Bonneville Power Administration's service territory thanks to its Pollinator Workgroup working in tandem with utility customers and other government entities. 

One such example is the multiyear Forest Park project, which earned BPA national recognition in 2023. Since its creation in 2018, BPA's Pollinator Workgroup has extended pollinator-related work and best practices to BPA facilities with projects such as mason bee house installations, butterfly mapping programs and xeriscaping at agency facilities.

BPA funds Klickitat Hatchery modernization project

BPA ratepayer dollars support the modernization of a 75-year-old hatchery on the Klickitat River in Washington. Once complete, the renovations will allow for the release of 200,000 additional spring chinook salmon annually.
